Danny McCrum is a highly respected guitarist, singer and songwriter with extensive experience on stage, in the studio and running the business behind the music. He has worked with and supported many music greats including Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, John Mayer, Tommy Emmanuel, Jimmy Barnes, Simple Minds, Bryan Ferry, Joan Armatrading, Lizzie Marvelly and more. Danny also plays guitar for The Buskers, Automatic 80s, The Stereos, Magnolia Memoir (L.A.) and runs Auckland Guitar Lessons, Paper Plane Productions Ltd and the podcast series Don't Give Up Your Day Job. Danny has teamed up with drummer Bobby Kennedy (Opshop, Stereobus) and launched a new podcast series called Don’t Give Up Your Day Job. The idea of this podcast is to give people an insight into the real workings of the careers of creative professionals. Check it out here

FREE LIVE ALBUM

On July 25th 2015 The Buskers performed a special live show for the charity Brother In Arms. The show was recorded and is now available to download. The show included Rob Franks on drums, Cam Roots on bass, Matt Bizzle on sax and Baggy on keys. The band let loose this night with fresh arrangements, risky solos and lots of improvisation. AUTOMATIC 80s LIVE

Automatic 80s are a 'new wave' touring show currently playing all over New Zealand. ACOUSTIC EP 'PS:' OUT NOW!

During the recording sessions for Letters To The Future, five additional acoustic tracks were recorded. Those tracks are now available on the EP enititled PS: The EP includes acoustic guitars, mandolin, ukulele, slide guitar and featuring special appearances by Cameron McArthur and Sam Edgar.

LETTERS TO THE FUTURE OUT NOW!

Danny McCrum's third album Letters To The Future is available on itunes andother leading online music stores around the world. Letters To The Future was co-produced by Danny and Seth Suter and was recorded in various locations,including a theatre, a warehouse and a dance studio. Danny invited many of his musician friends to play on the album and gave them all freedom to write their own parts. The result is a deep tapestry of influences and personalities, inspired, loose and human in it's feel and vibe. Every song has it's own distinct personality as the album swings effortlessly between genres.
